Cejka Search has been retained by Advocate Aurora Health (AAH) to recruit an accomplished executive leader to serve in the newly created position of Vice President, Clinical Risk Adjustment (CRA).
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Population Health and Managed Care and President of Advocate Physician Partners, the Vice President, CRA will be responsible for developing AAH’s enterprise Clinical Risk Adjustment program. Working across the existing three legacy organizations (Advocate, Aurora and Advocate Physician Partners), the Vice President, CRA will establish best practices and policies in clinical documentation improvement while implementing the strategy and operational structure to elevate AAH’s performance in its spectrum of risk adjusted lines of business. The VP, CRA will serve on the division’s executive team and collaborate with key leaders across the three legacy organizations to drive operational improvements in clinical documentation and risk adjustment. The VP, CRA will be integral in creating the newly formed division’s infrastructure and will work with both operations and information technology leadership teams to optimize performance and ensure the new division has the appropriate resources to perform to expectations. This position may reside in Illinois or Wisconsin.

Qualified candidates will be accomplished leaders in Clinical Risk Adjustment with experience in ambulatory operations and leading process improvement around Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC). The VP, CRA must be a proven performer and a problem solver who can execute a strategy and demonstrate results in HCC while building a collaborative team infrastructure. The candidate must possess an understanding of the primary risk adjusted business models of Medicare ACO, Medicare Advantage, and ACA/Commercial. A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree or above is preferred.
