ICD fusion code?

    Default ICD fusion code?
    Medical Coding Books
    How would you code posterior lumbar fusion L3-L4 with removal and reinsertion of hardware?

    I'm all over the place with this, thanks.

    Based solely on what you stated...

    22612
    22849-51

    You can not charge for the removal and the re-insertion if performed at the same levels.

    Wait...I just noticed your heading. Do you need a DX code? You may need to elaborate on that.
