    Medical Coding Books
    Hello out there!

Does anyone have a link about sequencing CPT codes from Medicare? I need something to show my docs the correct way to submit multiple surgery codes.

Thanks for any help you can give!
    Thanks,
    Vanessa

    Melissa,
Here is the link to the National Coverage Provision for General Surgery. You will find your answer on Page 17, under Coding Guidelines: C. Multiple Surgeries. Good luck!

If you're looking to sequence based on RVU's...try this, too.

    http://www.cms.hhs.gov/pfslookup/02_...es&next=Accept

-Select code or range of codes
    -Select RVU's
    -Next
    -Next
    -Enter code(s)
-On your drop key, select all modifiers
    -submit
    -Work RVU's column

As instructed on page 17 on previous post, list CPT codes from highest to lowest per MFSDB
