    Default 11420 Vs 26117

    AAPC: Back to School
Dx: Nodule Of The Left Thumb.

    If Your Op Report Stated.

Next Approach Was To The Left Thumb. There Was A Small Nodule In The Skin. This Appeared To Be Subcutaneous In Location On The Volvar Aspect Of The Thumb. After Prepping The Area And Draping It All Free, An Elliptical Incision Was Made, Dissecting Out The Nondule Which Was Submitted For Specimen. The Skin Was Closed With Nylon And A Sterile Dressing Applied Using Bacitrain, Exeroform, And Kling And Elastic Wrap.

Which Excison Code Would You Use.

1st you need verify with the surgeon how deep the incision/excision was. Unfortunately this op note is not sufficient to code from to determine if you will code from theinteg vs musculoskeletal sections.
