Does anyone have any information on whether a PA can bill a Nasal Endoscopy 31238 for a Medicare patient? Ours are getting denied.

You may want to check your state laws. I am located in Florida and our MAC, First Coast does not have a problem with our Nurse Practitioner performing them. It is within the scope of their practice.

Again, This is for an ARNP not a PA,

What is your denial code on the MCR EOB?

Denial code is CARCOB7 - This provider is not certified.

31238 is "with control of nasal hemorrhage"

Can you bill for cautery, or packing the hemorrhage? I know the PA's at our hospital bill for one or the other.

30901-30905 might come into play here, maybe.

Check this article out. I personally like it as it has references and peer review.
