    I'm curious as to how people out there handle the below:

    Cahaba GBA

    If an admission E/M note does not meet the lowest level admission criteria, is it acceptable to bill a subsequent day for the admission?

    Hello,

    I am currently taking a coding class for the CPC. I asked this question and the answer was if a physician does not meet the criteria for any initial code then a code from subsequent stay would be selected according to the documentation.
