CPT 10060 and 10061

    Default CPT 10060 and 10061
    Medical Coding Books
    Our doctor's do Incision and Drainage of eyelid cysts/ skin cysts. We have used these codes. Definition of this code in Ophthalmology 2013 Coding companion discusses drains or gauze strip packing not sure if using these codes for our I&D of cysts with cautery or simple suture closure is correct...HELP FROM ANYONE

    I would have to read one of the physician's notes but, based on what you are saying, I would use code 67700 (blepharotomy, drainage of abscess, cyst) eyelid and append the correct modifiers.
