lap claviculectomy

    I am looking for documentation regarding how many cm/mm has to be taken from the distal clavicle in order to bill a 29824? According to an AAPC arthroscopy teleconfrence it has to be 8-10mm. What if the size is not noted? If it's less than 8mm should the code not be billed?

    nah...just beat into your docs heads that "If you wanna get paid for it, just tell me how much you took off".
