    Question Follow Up Visits

    AAPC: Back to School
Your patient was treated either in your office, in the emergency department or was admitted to the hospital for an illness (ex: bronchitis or pneumonia). The patient was given a follow up with you for this illness, however, at the follow up visit the illness has been resolved. The patient has no other medical issues to be addressed. What code (s) would you use?

I would use the reason for the initial visit. As this visit is a f/u for bronchitis and now is resolved.
