    New Call-to-action
Our APRN placed a finger splint on patient's right middle finger to stabilize it while she is at work and to limit the movement as well.
We are Internal Medicine and not Orthopedics. Our APRN is not a surgeon. This was a simple procedure done in office.
Can we bill 29130 for finger splint application?
    Thanks

Yes, you should be able to bill the 29130 along with an E/M and modifier 25 if the documentation supports. The only thing with the RN applying the splint depending on the pt's insurance you may have to bill under the supervising physician as the insurance may not recognize mid-levels. Also with doing this make sure you view over the incident to rules. Hope this helps.
