Anemia and MDS

  1. Default Anemia and MDS
    Medical Coding Books
There is a discussion in the office regarding which diagnosis to use for anemia due to MDS. Would you use D63.0 (Anemia in neoplastic disease) or D63.8 (Anemia in other chronic disease)?
    Thanks in advance

Since MDS is neoplastic in nature, I would and have used D63.0
