Default removal of fixator in office

    AAPC: Back to School
Can anyone help me with the coding of the removal of an external fixator in the office. The doctor was following up with patient after a finger fracture and did the removal of an external fixator under local lidocaine block in the office. The description of CPT 20694 states "under anesthesia" and I can't find anything to say this code is allowed to be used if procedure is done in the office under local block. Thanks!!

since it was done in the office, under a local block, it is considered part of the global surgical package and not separately reportable
