    Default Procedure Code

    AAPC: Back to School
Hi, I need some verification on a code. Procedure: area cleaned with alcohol. Puntured with 30g needle. Copious puss expressed and cultured. I was looking at 10060. Does anyone have something different?

If it was just an aspiration then 10160 would probably be better.

Thank you. That was the other option I gave the physician. I appreciate the confirmation.
