Can anyone explain interventional radiology to me? I have a doctor providing services in the IR OR but he is not interpreting anything and the surgeon is not an intervention radiologist. Can he bill IR if there is not a specialitist present and just on the basis that they are in that room and a contrast is used? (example ERCP with hepatolgist performing services) I just don't know much about this.
