E/M Nurse practitioner

    Medical Coding Books
    Our nurse practitioner saw an inpatient consult and this practice likes to follow up with the doctor seeing the patient also. But, before the doctor could see the patient, the patient went home. I would like to know the guidelines for a nurse practitioner seeing patient consults in the state of Alabama.

    It looks like they are allowed to provide the service, how and if you can bill will depend on your carriers.
