Thread: Constipation with encoporesis.

    Default Constipation with encoporesis.

    AAPC: Back to School
    This is the Dx for 8 yo. Does this seem possible? Requesting opinions.Thank You.

    Do you mean encopresis? If so, this is the definition in Stedmans medical dictionary;


    The repeated, generally involuntary passage of feces into inappropriate places (e.g., clothing).

    It is not uncommon to go through stages of constipation and then have boughts of incontinence in your clothing. I guess it is a bit unusual for a child that age to not be "potty trained" but it does happen. Kind of like wetting the bed.
