    AAPC: Back to School
    Need dx for status post lap band bariatric surgery.

    the dx will be the obesity as documented by the physician along with the BMI V code as documented in the chart, the BMI must match the level of obesity as documented by the physician.

    Default S/p Baritric surgery status

    How about V45.86 Baritric surgery status as a secondary code, you will need a primary diagnosis obesity, if the patient in still considered obese.
