"Incident To" question

  1. Default "Incident To" question
    Medical Coding Books
Would anyone know if you can bill out Physical Therapy services as "Incident to" if the therapist is contracted by us and is doing the PT in our office while the Physician is in-office?? Or would this be considered double-dipping? My Doc feels he should be reimbursed for his review of care plan and certification up and beyond an E&M visit...

You may want to review section 230.5 under chapter 15 of the Medicare Benefits Policy Manual. "PT, OT, SLP Services Provided Incident to the Services of Physician and NPPs".
