    Question Nephrostomy Drainage Catheter Dysfunction

    AAPC: Back to School
Patient presents with a Nephrostomy drainage catheter that has become dysfunctional and needs an exchange. Would 996.59 be the most appropriate code? Any input is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

    FYI to anyone who's interested.....

I have found guidance that 996.39 is the appropriate code to assign.
