Question hospital consult or subsequent hospital care?
    Exam Training Packages
Scenario: established pt is seen by our specialist in the office for anemia, but is admitted to the hospital for an unrelated problem. admitting physician request a consult from our physician regarding the anemia we are already treating. Would this be billed by our physician as a hospital consult or subsequent hospital care?

Since you are already treating the anemia the it is subsequent care.

Thank you for your help, I already knew the answer, but since there is a deabate over this going on in my office, I needed another opinion.
