    Question colic dx code

    AAPC: Back to School
    Doctor used dx code 789.00 for newborn with colic is this code correct for 2009 claim? Caresource is denying code stating "This claim line is being disallowed because one of the diagnosiscodes is not typical for the patients age" Any help would be appreciated.

    Default Newborn colic

    The new code this year for newborn colic is 789.7
