    Default Need Help for ICd coding

    AAPC: Back to School
    Hi All,

    I 've a case regarding ED visit. As pt come to ED for Acute Headache. Cause of Headache was mention in HPI as, Due to he was verbally assulted at work by his boss.

    So does it is a Traumatic or Medical case. I considered as a Trauma. Am I right?

    Verbal assault is NOT trauma.

    Trauma is PHYSICAL INJURY.... verbal assault never damages the body! It sounds like this headache might be stress-related.
