    Default PET/CT Scan???

    AAPC: Back to School
My office is going to start performing PET/CT scans. I found three codes that fit the description of the procedures they are:
    78814, 78815, 78816
According to our Medicare carrier Trailblazer they are categorizing these codes as tumor imaging. Are there additional PET/CT codes for non cancer patients?

The myocardial imaging PET codes are 78491, 78492 and 78459.
The brain imaging codes are 78608 and 78609.
You may also want to go to the NOPR website to review coverage. That link is:
    Thanks, Jill
