Chemical Dependency Facility Billing

I am trying to locate the credentialing requirements for Medicare for drug/alcohol rehabilitation facilities. The facility provides the following services:

    Medically Supervised Detox
Residential Treatment (education, individual, and group sessions)
Residential Treatment for Dually Diagnosed Individuals
    Transitional Living
    Outpatient Treatment
    Continuing Care Support
    Independent Living

The actual facility itself appears to know nothing about insurance billing...I have no idea how they've made it this far. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it!

  2. Default Chemical Dependency Facility Billing

Well, if it were me - I'd go to the State Hospital Association and start there first seeing what ground works may have been covered. If that's a dead end, I'd go to the State Licensing Board and ask some questions there since you have to meet the state standards actually if you take Medicaid you probably have met the FEderal guidelines too but don't hold me on that. Medicare Provider contact for your area may also get you started.

    Hope this helps!

    take care!
