    Question Updated Codes

    AAPC: Back to School
Is it illegal or a good idea! to change the coding effective update date from (ex October 1 ,0000 , to the following January 1, 1999 ), just for inner office paper trail purposes or is this ok?. If any one has any remarks please feel free to send.
