My questions is about Doctors waiving co-pays and/co-insurance's. If a Doctor waives co-pay at time of visit should it documented on charge slip? If so how should it be worded. Where can I find this on the Internet?

I'm trying to tell my doctor that if he waives a co-pay and not somebody else's then that show favoritism. We all know There are doctors that do it but how should it be handled Legally?

    Thank you for Any input.
    Thank You and Good Luck!!!!

there is no legal way to waive a copay or co insurance,. The patient has a contractual obligation to pay their required copay/coinsurance and the physician has a responsibility to collect this amount.
