    Hi,

    Can anyone let me know if we can code G0289 for debridement of ACL tear and when 29880 and G0289 are billed together to Medicare, which one should we bill as the primary code...Look forward for the answer.

    G0289 is to be used as an add-on code, therefore would not be listed first.

    ARTHROSCOPY, KNEE, SURGICAL, FOR REMOVAL OF LOOSE BODY, FOREIGN BODY, DEBRIDEMENT/SHAVING OF ARTICULAR CARTILAGE (CHRONDROPLASTY) AT THE TIME OF OTHER SURGICAL KNEE ARTHROSCOPY IN A DIFFERENT COMPARTMENT OF THE SAME KNEE
