Coding Clinic, quarter 1 2010, page 5, "Hemiplegia is not inherent to an acute CVA, therefore it should be coded even if the hemiplegia resolves, with or without treatment, ...affects the care that the patient receives. Report any neurological deficits casued by a CVA even when they have been resolved at the time of discharge".

I am currently studying to take the CCS exam, and I had the following question:

Pt. presented with acute cerebral infarct with hemiplegia, aphasia, dysphagia. Aphasia and dysphagia resolve prior to discharge.

Based on the "report any neurological deficits casued by a CVA even when they have been resolved at the time of discharge",
I assigned: 434.91, 342.90, 784.3, 787.20

They assigned 434.91, 342.90.

Am I missing something? Why would only hemiplegia be assigned?
