    AAPC: Back to School
    If a patient comes into the ER with a laceration and get it repaired would you also code an E/M for the visit.

    Default ER Procedure w E/M

    No E/M with the procedure unless there are significant other things going on. If only the injury that was repaired etc. then just the repair.

    You always code an E&M in the ER. You are not talking about a private practice and this is not a scheduled procedure.
