    AAPC: Back to School
    i was just asked if there needs to be a reduced service modifier added to an e&m code if the visit was performed by an arnp. they dont need one right?

    no you do not put a modifer such as a 52 to an E&M code, however you do bill using the ARPN NPI number which will reduce the payment.

    thats what i thought but i dont code e&m so i wanted to verify before i answered, thanks!!
