I have a Orthopedist that has started billing CPT codes 95903 & 95904. We are getting denials for Provider cannot perform/bill for these types of service. Any insight as to why this are being denied? Thanks for your help.

It's possible that the carrier does not agree that this falls within your providers scope of practice.

    Nerve conduction studies (NCS)

These tests are usually administered by a neurologist (a doctor who specializes in the study of the nerves) or a physiatrist (a specialist in rehabilitation medicine).

I would contact your carrier (credentialing dept) for additional information.
