    If one of our providers sees a pt in the ER and bills a consult for the visit and the pt then comes into the clinic for f/up etc. is the pt a new pt or an est pt? Thank you in advance for your thoughts. Kim K.

    You would bill as an established patient.

    I agree you would bill as established patient

    A patient is consider est. once he has been seen by a provider in the same specialty group.
