Codes G0438 and G0439

  1. #21
    Default G0438
    New Call-to-action
I'm still confused by this code. If a G0438 is not a physical, then why does the CCI edits list a G0102 as bundled in a G0438?

  2. Default annual wellness exam requirements
in the coding edge magazine it states that the height, weight, BP, BMI and other routine measurements appropriate based on history is a required element for billing the G0438 however Medicare documents that it is included not required. Is it documented that it is required in a medicare publication or just included. txs

  3. Default G0438
Are there any guidelines that state the G0438 has to be one year after the G0402? Let's say a patient that has had Medicare since 1999 and never had an AWV. Wouldn't G0438 be appropriate?
