closure devices

    Default closure devices

I just want to be clear that we can no longer charge for the placement of a closure device in 2011 when an intervention is performed. According to CPT guidelines this is now included in the intervention. Is this correct?

  2. Default Inherent to the catheterization.
    Yes. You're correct.

Closure device placement at the vascular access site is inherent to the catheterization procedure and NOT separately reportable.
even contrast injection to image the access site(s)for the specific purpose of placing a closure device is inherent to the
catheterization procedure and NOT separately reportable.
