    Question Endoscopic biopsies
    Medical Coding Books
Hello! I am at a loss as to how to code a biospy of the tongue base and the nasopharynx when the doctor does it endoscopically. Does anybody have a suggestion?
    Thank you!

I would code the tongue bx with 41105 and the nasopharynx 42806. The use of the laryngoscope is included in 42806.

    hope this helps,
