My doc states he did ORIF of Epiphyseal fracture, distal tibia. He is calling this a triplane fracture or Salter-Harris type 2 and 3.

Anyone seen this before? I am leaning towards 27827.

he states there is distal anterior tibial fracture fragment with intraarticualr extension and a posterior distal tibial fracture fragment, both of which he used internal fixation.

Type II break through part of the bone at the growth plate and crack through the bone shaft as well.

Type III break through the bone at the growth plate, separating the bone end from the bone shaft and completely disrupting the growth plate.
