NC Medicare can 90801 & 90853 be billed on the same date of service?

  1. Default NC Medicare can 90801 & 90853 be billed on the same date of service?
    Medical Coding Books
    I'm a Biller billing for a LCSW, she is billing 90801 & 90853 on the same date of services, with no modifiers for year 2011. Please advise!

    No, these codes are bundled per NCCI. You'd have to have a modifier-59 and evidence for its use within the record.
