I need the correct cpt for the following service:

    Peripheral Venous Angioplasty Stent

I don't know if this is too vague or if more info is needed. Doc hasn't performed service yet but plans on it and wants his charge ticket updated.

    Thanks for any help!!

    If I'm following correctly:

    PTA Venous 35476

For the Stent I would use 37205 (intravascular stent); exept if he going to be performing this procedure with other Endovascular Revascular proceudres (37221, 37223, 37226-37227, 37230-37231, 37234-37235) since the new rules have bundled PTA, Stents and Atherectomies on lower level extremity arteries.

Oh just FYI if he is doing stent(s) in the Carotid artery then it would be code 37215 or 37216

another consideration is if it envolves AVF's, which changes the codes

to get a more accurate group of codes you need to query your doc to find out exactly what he means by peripheral venous stenting

if you have access to Z-Health it is a great resource for the odes themselves but also the rules that pertain to each procedure
