    Question EC doctor calls PCP and PCP wants admit

    AAPC: Back to School
    When a patient presents to the ER and the ER provider contacts the patients PCP via telephone at say 10 pm and the PCP gives a verbal order to admit can the PCP bill for services provided?

    A telephone order to admit a patient is not billable.
