    AAPC: Back to School
A patient came in our office was having sever side pain because the pt was passing a kidney stone. So the doctor gave her 75 mg of demerol injection the pt stayed in our office for little to see if the pain would go way. But the pt was still in pain so another doctor in our office had the ma to give another dose of demerol 25 mg inj. Then the pt was better and was sent home. How do you code the injection? Do you just coded as 100 mg or do you have to coded twice?

    J2175 2 unit - 100 MG

    j2175 1.5 unit - .75 mg
    j2175 .5 unit - .25 mg
    96372 x 2

    thank you in advance
