Default Cpt for intercostal muscle flap
    Medical Coding Books
My Surgeon did a pneumonectomy with intercostal muscle flap. I have the CPT for the pneumonectomy, but I don't know what to code for the intercostal muscle flap.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Kristin,
I have used that code in the past, but my Thoracic Surgeon told me that was not the right code. :-(
    Any other suggestions?

No, that is the one we use? If you do find out what they want you to use, please let me know what you find out. Thanks!
