Unhappy Coding Epiaortic ultrasound intra operatively

    AAPC: Back to School
Has anyone heard anything about billing a 59 modifier with the 76998 (ultrasound intraop)? I have always just billed with the modifier 26, but someone told my Dr to use the 59/26. Can anyone please clarify this? Thanks!:
