E & M Level and additional coding

  1. Default E & M Level and additional coding
    Medical Coding Books
When you have an E & M level coding and a Doctor also performs a rectal exam in addition. Is there a code that can be charged for the rectal exam or is it encluded in the E & M level?

  2. #2
A rectal exam is included in a complete exam so you should either use 99204 or 99205
