One of our docs performed the following arthroscopically:

"We then proceeded to perform a tenotomy of the biceps and stabilized in the groove. We incorporated it into the rotator cuff repair towards the end of the case."

So my question is do we code the AS biceps tenotomy or is it considered more of a tenodesis since he incorporated the tendon into the cuff repair?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I would want more information from the surgeon. Did he cut the biceps tendon and "tuck" the end into the repair to get it out of the way? Or did he actually repair the biceps tendon by "sewing" it, hence a tenodesis? The 1st scenario is what it sounds like to me.
