    AAPC: Back to School
    Can someone give me the total number of elements that they get from this HPI?

    70 yowm with history of renal colic and abdomen fistula presents with flank pain consistent with prior episodes of renal colic. Patiient is a 70 yo male presenting with kidney stones. Pertinent negatives no chills, flank pain, frequency, hematuria, nausea, urgency or vomiting. His past medical history is significant for kidney stones.

    This history is all in one paragraph.

    Chief complaint: kidney stones

    HPI: Location (flank or renal), assoc sign (pain), quality (consistent with previous episodes of renal colic)

    ROS: Consitutional, GU, GI

    Past Med History: kidney stones & abdominal fistula
