Thread: Record Retention Requirements

    Default Record Retention Requirements

    AAPC: Back to School
    Our company provides transcription and coding services to several ASCs. I am curious about the record retention requirements for our company. I have been able to find state requirements for the provider, but I have not found anything for a transcription/coding company. Does anyone know what the requirements are and if so can you provide documentation? Thanks!

    Default State requirements

    Many of these requirements vary state-by-state. If your accountant or attorney does not have an answer, I recommend you contact your state medical society or state legislator for help in finding the regulations that would apply to your situation.
