    AAPC: Back to School
    Patient was seen in the hospital and had an drainage of an abcess. Can I bill this separate from the hospital charge?

    your question is unclear. Was the patient in the inpatient setting? or was this performed in the outpatient clinic? If you are asking can you charge a facility charge and the I&D then yes as long as you support both with the documentation and use a 25 modifier. If this is not what you were looking for then please rephrase the question or add more information.
