    AAPC: Back to School
    I am looking for information about coding/billing for the implanted "painbuster" ortho uses for control of the immediate postop shoulder pain.

    Default Painbusters

    We use the unlisted codes. 23929 for shoulder and 27599 for knee. Very few carriers pay for the procedure. Medicare definitely does not. BC/BS and Aetna do pay.
