PEG Tube Cleaning

  1. Default PEG Tube Cleaning
    Medical Coding Books
Documentation states: Peg tube site - cleanse with wound cleanser. No complications have been noted. Would this be coded with V44.1 or V55.1?

  2. #2
I would use the V55.1 since attention to the artificial site includes "toilet or cleansing".
