Can a EP physician charge a new patient visit if it's the first time HE has seen the patient but the patient has already been seen by one of our regular cardiologists? Can anyone tell me where I can find documentation regarding this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Yes, you can. Medicare recognizes EP as a separate specialty. The Medicare transmittal number is MM7209.
